Thank you from C4U Ladies’ Choir for the warm welcome at The Guildhall, Sandwich
Concert 20.09.2023
We are filled with immense gratitude and joy as we reflect on the incredible experience of being a part of Sandwich Arts Week at the Guildhall yesterday. It was an honour beyond words for our Canterbury for Ukraine Ukrainian Ladies’ Choir to perform in such a beautiful and historic venue.
Mike Judd and Bishop Michael Turnbull, your unwavering support and curation of this festival are truly commendable. Your belief in the power of music to bridge cultures and hearts is evident, and we are deeply thankful for the opportunity to share our Ukrainian heritage with the responsive audience in Sandwich. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
We extend our gratitude to the dedicated team of organisers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. We appreciate your attention to detail and warm reception with refreshments.
Our hearts are filled with eternal gratitude and admiration for our conductor Joanna Chapman and accompanist David Chapman. Your professionalism, belief in our voices, support, and commitment have always inspired us.
Last but not least, we are grateful to the wonderful audience in Sandwich. Your applause, boundless compassion and generous donations towards Canterbury for Ukraine touched our hearts deeply. Your support means the world to us and to those in need in Ukraine.
In these challenging times, it’s moments like these that remind us of the power of art and community. Together, we can make a difference, and your kindness has shown us that.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We hope to return to Sandwich. Let the music and the memories of this special day continue to inspire us all.
