Ukrainian Discussion Group

Ukrainian Discussion Group

The Ukrainian Discussion Group began on 24 August at Beaney Library in Canterbury, an initiative of C4U and with the support of Kent County Council’s Service Libraries Registration and Archives. On this day, a new library collection of Ukrainian literature was presented. The books have been collected by C4U and Ukrainians who now live in Kent.

We meet twice a month to discuss the latest news about books and literature. Our aim is to expand knowledge of the history, culture, and art of Ukraine. The moderator of the group is Dr. Vladlena Russova.

The previous meetings were: “The Narratives of the Times of the Russian-Ukrainian War 2014-2023”, “Coronation of the Word”: success stories of Ukrainian authors” and “Ukrainian Modern Detective Novels”. The language of presentations is Ukrainian. We are also planning to conduct English-language meetings to introduce Ukrainian heritage to a wide audience.
