Young Ukrainians Hub
Canterbury
We invite Ukrainian children and their parents to our Young Ukrainians Hub (YoU-Hub), which was launched by Canterbury for Ukraine (C4U). The main goal of the YoU-Hub is to give our children the opportunity to communicate with their peers in their native environment, to maintain and develop a connection with Ukrainian culture and traditions, to promote personal development and improve communication and teamwork skills. The language of communication in the Prostor is Ukrainian.

Canterbury for Ukraine Ladies’ Choir is a safe place for Ukrainian women in East Kent to meet together, find hope and comfort through music and singing.
Young Hearts
Canterbury Umbrella Center
The “Young Hearts” club – a community of elderly Ukrainians who found refuge in Great Britain from Russia’s military aggression, began its work in May 2023 with the aim of creating conditions for elderly people to communicate, relax, study the history and literature of Ukraine and England.

C4U Welcome Hub
Canterbury Umbrella Center
The Welcome Hub at Canterbury Umbrella centre is a compassionate and essential initiative started by the Diocese of Canterbury and C4U Charity supported by Canterbury City Council (CCC).
It provides comprehensive support to both UK nationals hosting Ukrainian guests under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme who fled the war and are seeking safety for themselves and their children in the United Kingdom.
English language classes
Canterbury Christ Church University & Kent Adult Education
C4U jointly with Canterbury Christ Church University and Kent Adult Education offers free English language classes to Ukrainians in East Kent (age 18 or over). The classes target development of basic language skills, preparation for the ESOL exams and upgrading employability skills.
Ukrainian discussion group
