Young Ukrainians Hub

The YoU Hub is a proactive response to the challenges faced by temporarily displaced Ukrainian families. It serves as a place to nurture Ukrainian identity for children and young people who have found themselves far away from their homes due to the war.

The project was launched on 8 October 2022, at the initiative of Olena Nizalova and Lada Rusova. On its first day of operation, the YoU Hub gathered 33 children. Since then, 2.5 years have passed, during which the project has developed thanks to a dedicated and skilled team of mentors.

YoU Hub aims to provide a friendly environment in which the next generation of Ukrainians explore their connection to their roots. Through interactive history and ethnic studies, creative activities, games, and participation in cultural events of the Ukrainian community, children develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

This programme helps young Ukrainians feel connected to both their heritage and their future, providing them with the tools to shape the core of their unique identity.

Parents are an important part of our space, with yoga classes and a spoken English club organised as part of the Parents’Circle. The YoU Hub team is sincerely grateful to our parentsfor their support and contributions.
