Four years of resistance. Four years of solidarity.
Today marks 4 years since Russia launched its full-scale, brutal war against Ukraine.
And a few days ago it was 12 years since the occupation of Ukrainian territories began. Back when Russia still pretended it wasn’t involved, and Crimea was seized not by “Russian troops” but by the so-called “little green men.”

On Sunday, 22 February, on the High Street in Canterbury, the trustees and volunteers of C4U organised an information stand to remind people once again: the war is ongoing, and Ukraine still needs support.
Destroyed cities. Shattered lives. Tens of thousands of civilians killed. Russia continues to destroy Ukrainians – people who never wanted war and have always wanted, and still want, simply to live in peace.
We are deeply grateful to our English friends who stood beside us.

We thank the Ukrainian community, which continues to work together, support one another, and help Ukraine.
The Ukrainian army is often called an army of civilians. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, ordinary teachers, IT specialists, shop workers, artists, and people from many other peaceful professions have stepped forward and voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend their families and their country.

We thank our former Chair, Denys Nizalov, who voluntarily joined the Armed Forces last year, and the thousands who continue to defend our homeland.
We remember those who gave their lives for the sake of our children.

Friends, we invite you today, 24 February, at 7:00 pm to join thousands of people at Trafalgar Square in London for a public event in solidarity with Ukraine.
Join us if you can – because we all care, and standing together makes a difference.
